Should dinner always be as a family or can stragglers eat too? I have always felt bad about eating dinner without my wife. We usually try to have it at the kitchen table with the kids or sometimes in front of the TV. I feel bad though if one of us has to work late and miss dinner as a family. Should we wait or just go ahead and eat?

Go ahead and eat. If you have free time when they get home, sit with them while they eat, maybe even have a snack along with them. It is best to have dinner as a family, but sometimes that just can't happen. Try not to make it a daily occurance, but if it must, try to find some time when schedules over lap. Be it Breakfast or lunch, or even just a mid-day snack, take time for your spouse. This is a bonding time, time for you to discuss your day, and try to keep it positive. Don't just complain about what someone did at work, bring up the good things.

The most common times a family prays together are at church and the dinner table. Remember, a family that prays together, stays together.
