Why do Catholics believe the Pope is infallible? Has a Pope ever been wrong? What if he is, would that disprove the Catholic Church or just him as a pope?

This is a common misconception. The Pope is only infallible while teaching, or speaking for God. If he tells you to bet on a certain horse or a spread in the game, you are not any more likely to win. If he tells you that killing makes God angry, you might want to head that warning.

I shouldn't really disprove anything, unless it is an error in teaching. I don't think I have ever heard of the Pope having err in his teaching, but I am sure there are things in day to day life where he has mistakes just like the rest of us.
